What is a reed switch?
A reed switch is an electrical switch operated by an applied magnetic field. It consists of a
pair of contact on ferrous metal reeds in a hermetically sealed glass envelope.

Advantages of the KM series
The most important advantage of the new APEM KM rocker switch is that the contacts are sealed away from the atmosphere. So, they are protected against atmospheric corrosion.
